Today will be interesting. I have a fundraiser for my softball team right after work: a wine tasting. And the director decided to call a rehearsal, so I warned him that I wasn't about to go to a wine tasting and not drink. It should make for a fun number.

Yeah, I'm usually like that too. I just really am not in the mood to go. We've been trying to do this since before the holidays, and this is the first time since then no one has had to cancel. We only do it a few times a year, so I just need to get through it and then I won't have to deal with it for a while.

My one friend from tonight e-mailed us 45 minutes ago saying the day is dragging and she was ready to leave. She just e-mailed 10 minutes ago saying she was leaving, she wanted bread, she'll get a table if she gets there first.

I thought today would never end...I had soooo many needy people today, and our IT department sucks! They totally blew off setting up one of my new employees today with her equipment, and as far as I know they have not even built her computer. Another manager told me he wanted me to transfer to his team - I said I would rather cut my nuts off with a rusty butter knife. Do you think that was too harsh? I swear it just flew from my lips...he just walked away.

I just made myself an Absolute Pear Martini.

Oooh! I would like one of Cheeze's martinis. I've become Auntie (Rath) at the dance studio too (no idea why, except perhaps that I'm older than the other "girls"), and the drama is beginning to wear on me.
