Camerangel: Thanks about my signiture, I heard it last night on a commercial of all things and I fell in love with it.
Addy: :) you just make me smile :)
K: So far so good, thanks. Now when I get the new breaks all will be good in the world.
Hey Everyone!
Can I join the party?
Matt and I were chatting about it last night - because I heard it in the car a few times yesterday - so when I got home I pulled out my Carpenters CD. Have been on a Carpenters kick since then.
I am the original sap... I even started to cry at lunch a few weeks ago when I was telling my friends about my favorite Hallmark commercial... I wasn't even WATCHING the commercial. Just talking about it... Needless to say, they all laughed at me.
Imcute -- But of course, dear...
Addy you are too cute.
Teas can be good. :)

Awwww Addy, it's ok we all cry at commercials sometimes, at least all of us saps do! Welcome to the sap club.
Cute: Arent you a little young? But you can stay if it's ok with everyone else, you were going to places like Rocky Horror at 2 years of age :)
I had forgotten what a little belter that Lorna was!
The commercial that makes me get all weepy is the one where Peter comes home for Christmas early and makes coffee and wakes the family up and they all come down and are so excited to see him (plus he is really cute). It makes me miss being home and always makes me want a cup of coffee.
Addy that is soo cute.. Shame on them for laughing at you!
Count me in for sappiness! That holiday song makes me tear just thinking about it....but I admit -- I like it when I get "squishy"
Like last night -- I watched "Contact" for about the 100th time....
I cry the most during animated films. Don't know, just do. Haven't watched The Lion King in years for that reason.
LA: And who's fault is it that?
Are we talking Lorna Luft? She can belt rings around most people on Broadway.
BT - that commercial gets me every time.
The Hallmark one that kills me is when a woman goes to see her old teacher who is retiring (OMG - you should see me - I am crying as I type!). At the end he asks what she became. And she replies a teacher. It kills me!
Contact has some dreamy Matthew McConaughey in it!
BT: Your signature is Amazing! Dr. Seuss is wonderful.
Rath - I'm listening to the Judy Garland Christmas CD and Lorna had quite a voice at the age of 10 or however old she was. Mel Torme is dreamy too....
you should all add this CD to your holiday music collection...there are so many treasures on it -- especially "I'll be Home For Christmas" -- incredible arrangement

BT: I love that commercial!
K: I love that movie, and you can join the sap club!
K - it is already in my collection.
BT - years ago I was treated to a private 'concert' by Mel Torme in the Rainbow Room!
It was a holiday dinner (Black tie, of course!) hosted by the A&E Network, and he sang for us. What an incredible performer!
And, when he sang The Christmas Song... not a dry eye!

cute: Yes it's my fault, ok, but you turned out pretty darn well anyway :)
Addy: The one that got me was the one where it showed the dad with the daughter in all phases of her life until she got married, I don't remember what it was for but man it was a tear jerker. And the one you are talking about is too, gets me every time.
Back from Day #1 of jury duty and--just my luck!--got picked for a civil case jury. They must have heard I became a Broadway Legend on BWW...
BT and Rath--let's form a Lorna Luft Fan Club on BWW. Her voice is better than ever--if you can catch her doing "Songs My Mother Taught Me," grab it! She sings her mother's Mort Lindsay, Kay Thompson and Nelson Riddle arrangements and does "Born in a Trunk" with new lyrics to tell her two kids "How Grandma Got to Carnegie Hall." (And IM me about her book...)
did somebody just mention Kay Thompson?
LA - the other commercials that get me are the old Kodak commercials...with the song "Good Morning, Yesterday/Times of Your Life..." I can't watch them.
LA: You're right, I did turn out pretty well. Thanks to you. I'm convinced it's because of Rocky and all that.

Hey PalJoey, my best friend got on one of those cases, good luck!
Addy: The Rainbow Room out here? I love that place.
PJ -- good luck on the case! Hope it does not go too long!
Just heard.
Difficult decision.
