hrm...

There was way too much wide scale publicity for him to come out of this without a major sentence, I think.

I was figuring he'd get life or something like that though.

PJ -- I am still so saddened by her tragic and untimely death-- I had the opportunity to become friends with her prior to her final illness -- I do not think there will ever be a better interpretor of the AMerican songbook -- her ability to sing to the heart and her partnership with the genius Chris Marlowe....

OK, I have to stop typing.....

LA - there is only ONE Rainbow Room - all the rest are merely pretenders re: Can the adults please smoke? (Pt.2)

Welcome back, SOMMS.

LA - yes, that's the one. For a heartbreaking period of time, it was not in operation - but is now back enthralling the elite. It is ABSOLUTELY worth a trip! But dress for the occassion - it's one of the few 'special' places left, and should be experienced as such.

Amen to that, DG!

The Mel Torme evening would have been 6 or 7 years ago... An unforgettable night!

Hi again! Just popping in to say thanks to DGrant and BT, the PMs were a real pick me up, and all the good wishes and vibes. Trust me they are ever so needed.
K I just have to tell you I just love that new icon, hmmm maybe I should show it to Dave for a Christmas gift idea!
It is so nice to see that this thread really hasn't changed at all. Hugs and kisses!

Hi mom!

Hope you're enjoying some of the festivities of the season! Focus on the magic of it all! xoxox

Cookie, the prices of the cocktails are worth it - for the sheer romance of it all... On occasion.

Yes. But for two cocktails, you could have a whole bottle of Veuve! Still, the view is hard to beat. And there is romance in the atmosphere while sipping cocktails in the stratosphere...

I still need to go just once, Addy will you take me? Or is it more of a romantic type place not for friends?

Not quite easing up kiss. To be honest they are getting slightly worse. re: Can the adults please smoke? (Pt.2) But hopefully soon... maybe they will ease up.
