Hi, LA - how are you feeling?
LA - An extra special warm morning welcome to you! (Sorry - I had to answer the phone and lost my place...) xox
DG - I'm going to see LITTLE WOMEN.
Matt and CK - you have no idea how tempted I am...
Well, you know how to reach me if you want my help with that.

Addy - oooh, I hope it's good. I hear it is - and I love Maureen McGovern. That friend who worked with Mr. Torme' has also worked with her - she's not only a fabulous singer, but a great person, as well.

CK and DG: I am feeling almost ALL better, if my head would clear up now, it would be great :)
Addy: Thank you :) <----see I am smiling now.
You are seeing Little Women? I am dying to see that, please let me know if we should get tix for when we come in a couple of weeks. <-----hear that, I will be in NY in a couple of weeks :)
I'm looking forward to it. I've heard mixed reviews, but am still glad to be seeing it.
Addy...the party was fun -- I did not over indulge, sorry about that -- although I did have some of my favorite brandy at home!
And yes, we are an Aries/Cancer couple...hmmm how did we miss that???
I don't know how we missed that, K! It just popped into my head this morning.
I never indulge (let alone over-indulge) at office parties. NOT a good idea. I save it for home... Glad to hear it was fun, though.

Ok all of my wonderful friends, I am off to work. I will be back in about an hour as usual.
Everyone have fun and please fill me in when I return.
XOXOXOXOXO
Addy: I want a full review please, or at least tell me if its worth seeing. I do love Sutton Foster.
I agree -- I did that once about 15 years ago and learned my lesson....although one of our Senior Vice Presidents did not seem to learn it yet....I had to go down to his floor and "chat" with him this morning...
My horoscope -
Your life has suddenly begun to resemble a foreign film about an internationally famous detective and a totally unpredictable femme fatale. Regardless of which part you're playing, put your whole heart into it. Action!
HUH?!
Matt - fabulous horoscope...
K - that's too bad... about the SVP. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid some people can be. I have a sit-down with the 'kids' on the team every year and go over my 'rules'...so far nobody has crossed the line.
fortunatley the "kids" on my team behaved -- a few went out AFTER and were a little slow this morning, but they were here and working on time!
Oh, the stories I could tell about misbehaving at company functions and what I have seen and heard.....especially from our week long meeting each summer....oh my...(and there are never PInot Grigio nights for K at those)
No. Addy never plays at work parties... I have quite the Angelic reputation here...
Oh, Honey. If they only knew....
They know. They just never see.

Addy - that's because you're a wise woman.
I screwed up at this year's company holiday party.
Luckily our company culture is a little more "loose" than some other places I've been.
I've learned my lesson. Luckily I'm still young-ish.
By the way - here's the latest. I can't bear it...
Iceberg cuts the flow of food to baby penguins
Penguins trying to raise chicks are in icy straits because an enormous hunk of ice is separating them from food near Antarctica's McMurdo Sound.
Scientists said Tuesday the iceberg called B15A is about 1,200 square miles -- so big it has blocked wind and water currents that break up ice floes in McMurdo Sound. That has led to an abundance of ice, which could doom tens of thousands of penguin chicks in coming weeks.
The ice buildup has cut off their parents' access to waters where they catch fish, said Lou Sanson, chief executive of the government scientific agency Antarctica New Zealand.
Two Adelie penguin colonies in the area that scientists have been studying for 25 years are threatened.
One is on Cape Royds, where 3,000 breeding pairs now face a 112-mile round trip to fetch food for their chicks. The parents cannot survive the long journey without eating much of the food they have gathered for their young, Sanson said.
Likewise, scientists fear that only about 10 percent of the 50,000 breeding pairs of Adelie penguins at nearby Cape Bird will rear a chick this season, Sanson said. Adult penguins there face a 60-mile round trip across the ice to reach open water and food.
The iceberg, located between McMurdo Sound and Franklin Island to the south, is moving north toward the sound at a rate of about 1.2 miles a day. The concern is it will stick on the Ross Ice Shelf, which forms part of the sound, causing still more problems.
...just seems so unfair.
If only we'd had this conversation two weeks ago. I need to learn from you guys!
ck - that's too bad. (I remember when you posted that). You can 'restore' your reputation, though... And it's good to learn that lesson young.
(but hopefully not too young with all the stuff I've been posting to you!)
Well, I just did some actual work instead of paying attention to the board and come back to find all these horoscopes posted and that Leo's are in for a romantic evening. Now I really can't wait to get home.
You have a fresh new year to show them the polished new you...
orion - I love checking out my horoscope every morning. It usually makes me laugh...
