Ok I know this is off topic but hell this is the off topic board. Did anyone watch the Swan pagent last night? And was anyone else made physically ill by this horrible horrible show?

I'm sorry but a show like this just fuels the belief in this society that Beauty=Happiness. I think the worst part of it all is that fact that some women don't make it to the pagent. They take these women who think they are ugly, worthless human beings. Put them through hours of cosmetic surgery, and hours and hours in the gym. Put them in a pretty dress and tell them. "Sorry you still aren't pretty enough to make it to the final round" If they had even a tiny amount of slef esteem left it has to be killed now.

CC: That's the awfulness with how reality shows have become... Between that and the whole "Who's my real Father?" thing, it's getting too ridiculous. The opposite end of the spectrum is "The Amazing Race." Now, THAT'S a reality show....
I only saw this show once, but I thought it was disgusting. The women I saw REALLY needed the help...but the circus surrounding it all was degrading and embarrassing.
Gee, glitz, you need someone ELSE'S nibbles???adults please smoke? (Pt.2)" width="14" height="14" src=https://cloudimages.broadwayworld.com/board/happy.gif>
Sorry to disagree with ya Kissie, but a guy screaming at and belittling his wife constantly to win a million dollars is no better than a women competing in a pageant willingly with the desire to improve herself both physically and emotionally. Both shows are what they are and I happen to really like both of them.

I can't wait for the reality show.."Who can date SOMMS the longest"...I have a feeling that will be a short lived show. adults please smoke? (Pt.2)" width="14" height="14" src=https://cloudimages.broadwayworld.com/board/happy.gif>

Now, boys, SOMMS just takes the concept of "plenty of fish in the sea" very seriously...adults please smoke? (Pt.2)" width="14" height="14" src=https://cloudimages.broadwayworld.com/board/happy.gif>
