I took some lovely pictures outside my window and I can't seem to get them to upload. Grr..I know there has been a lot of Paris talk, but I was hoping to transport you all to the picturesque, quaint seacoast of New England.
Between K talking about his "villa in Provence" and Addy talking about her "apartment in Paris," no wonder the other people on the board think the denizens of this thread are "stuck-up."
I LOVE IT!!!
(And, yes, Pton, we also love the North Shore. Just not as much as we love Paris.)
You come to Paris, you come to play: You have a wonderful time, you go away. From then on, you speak of Paris knowingly. You may know Paris, But you don’t know...Paree.
Ahhh Cookie, you are describing my solo, 10 day trip two years ago. I stayed first in a B&B in the Marais, followed by the George Cinq. Such disparity, but so wonderful. I didn't speak English at all while there. Total submersion into the culture. I simply wondered around everyday doing what ever struck my fancy--shopping for breakfast, drinking wine at cafes, shopping, museums, walking into things becasue I was staring at buildings. I think I only missed visiting two districts. Oddly, my favorite night was a Saturday spent in a French Supermarket in L'Defense. Strange, but true! Everyone was shopping. It was like a disco with canned goods. Just walking around the cheese section with it's horrific odor sampling all of the cheeses took me over an hour. Heaven!
Addy - that gives you time to have a Manhattan before the meeting adults please smoke? (Pt.2)" width="14" height="14" src=https://cloudimages.broadwayworld.com/board/happy.gif>
