Whoo Hoo! My goddaughter is in the hospital. Her water broke, not sure when. Her mom got there about 10:15 and she was only about 3 centimeters then. She was scheduled to be induced next Thursday, but I guess the baby had other ideas.

Girly...keep us updated...I guess your goddaughter wanted to wait until I finished reading Harry Potter before...hmmmmm if it's a boy do you think she'll name him Albus??? Harry??? Won Won???

So am I only the only idiot who sobbed after reading that book? When is the next one due out??? She better get her fingers moving..maybe beacon can lure her to her lair until she finishes it.

Yes, the best reason to be in the hospital! Now I just have to think of what to send/bring when I go visit. They got a ton of presents at the shower, and I'm sure they'll receive mega flower/balloon bouquets. Need something semi-different/unusual.

Didn't see your post, Boobs. It is a boy, so the sonogram says. I'm not too keen on the name picked out, but it's not my child, and I'm sure I'll get used to it.

No, you're not the only one who cried at HP. Some of these books just kill me. I keep saying she needs to let her husband go take care of the family and just lock herself in a room and finish the last one and get it out there for us!

Gah. Am I the only human being on the planet who prefers an infinite number of other fantasy books to Harry Potter? Anyone ever read Lloyd Alexander? Madeleine L'Engle? Ursula K. LeGuin?
Let's not forget the modern father of the fairy story (as he named them), J.R.R. Tolkien.

And I am stoked - STOKED, I tells ya - after seeing the trailer for "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."
