I need a little holiday spirit - I'm burning all of holiday CDs onto the iPod. Now I need some scotch and I'll really have that glow.

The Oak Bar thing is too bad Addy - but how wonderful that you have had so many special moments there. I've had some wonderful New York evenings at the Algonquin. Good friends, good conversation, good booze... good memories :)

I love the Algonquin, too.

When you come to NY we'll do a tour of the wonderful Old New York bars... have a glass of champagne in each one and toast to the wonderful times we've had there.

And, speaking of wonderful, Glebb just sent me a message to tell you he sends his love.

So, pour another scotch and enjoy the evening.

I was sad to have missed Glebb, but my emergency trip to the midwest prevented it.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I like my Georg Solti Messiah better than my Robert Shaw.

Dame: I watched that Oprah - it was a sweet story. That woman was pretty amazing. I would have been happy with just winning a day with Nate Berkus.

Dame, I guess I haven't chatted with you in ages! I didn't end up going to the concert. I gave the tickets to John. It was the weekend after I got back from Paris, and had to go to Atlanta for business the next day, and it was just too much.

I hated to miss it, because I had heard such great reviews from LA, but I was too busy to make it work. I would have had to fly out Saturday morning and back on Sunday, and it was too much. Even for me...and you know I love to jet all over the place! Next time...
