Sorry bdwaygirl, but if my co-workers must suffer so should yours..LOL !!! Have a wonderful day.
Speaking of suffering coworkers. Back in 1975 when McDonald's introduced the Big Mac and the jingle "Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun", our local radio station had a contest. If you were the seventh caller and could say the slogan seven times in seven seconds you won seven Big Macs per day for seven days. I drove everybody at work crazy for a few days practicing and calling. Then I won and drove them all insane by making them eat all 49 of those Big Macs for a week. (I didn't like them!)
You are an obsession. You're my obsession. What do you want me to be to make you sleep with me?
Over the weekend I watched a movie called Edge Of Seventeen. I think it's a few years old. It's about a young boy coming out in the mid 80's. The story was trite and very predictable and sappy. It did, howveer have a great soundtrack and was an homage to the days of ear cuffs, boys wearing eyeliner, Duran Duran fashion and the Madonna Boy toy look. Made me think of this thread the whole time I was watching it.
Thanks Orion...sounds like a good movie to watch on a rainy day. I love good soundtracks to movies. Like "Trick". Makes a bad movie enjoyable.

If you want to see a 'coming out/of age' movie, I'd go with Beautiful Thing - and a lot of the sountrack is Mama Cass
My 30th (hrmph!) high school reunion was this past weekend, and of course I DID NOT GO. But this thread got me thinking about the canary yellow tux I wore to the prom. What fabulous fashion faux pas did you make, in retrospect?
DG - love that movie !!! I saw the off-broadway production and enjoyed that too...not as much as the movie. EXCELLENT soundtrack.
I've seen A Beatuiful Thing a few times. Great movie. It's certainly better than most others of the gay coming out genre....but there are no ear cuffs in it.
My prom I wore a gray Tux with pink ruffled shirt and big gray bow tie. I had John Travolta Saturday Night Fever hair.
Speaking of soundtracks. I watched "Connie and Carla" this weekend..bad movie, but lots of fun singing show tunes. Some good laughs.
I play the Trick soundtrack at least once a week. I love the club remix of I am Woman.
Me too SOMMS !!! I love that rendition of I Am Woman.

You are right -- it's a good soundtrack (minus the sappy DF stuff) -- but nothing can make that moview tolerable...YET, I will watch it when it is on....that "train wreck" thing -- you just can't help yourself
Good morning everyone. How is everybody on this beautiful day?
Good morning Nina...the boy should be there by Noon. He's having a tough morning. I hope you're feeling better this morning.
did anyone get to see Bwaysinger's performance last night? I was going to try to go, but had one too many at a friends birthday party....
My back is still bothering me a bit but from a pulled muscle but, I am feeling much better otherwise. I have the day off and it looks so nice outside today that I can't help but feel better. A little shopping today and wandering around the city in the sunshine will be just what I need.
Unfortuantely KMF...none of us made it to bwaysinger's show
I feel bad that none of us were able to make it but, it sounds like it was a success and that he's very happy about it. Someone wake the boy so he can give us the details.
dopey me -- I should have checked earlier pages of the thread --- it's Monday and my brain is a little fuzzy...
A day of shopping and wandering the city in this glorious sun sounds like a great plan Nina...
I went to check on the boy a little while ago and he was sleeping like an angel with his hands in the Idina gesture. I'll try and wake him now, some cold water should do nicely.
I know JRB danced with Eartha and is all over the news, but this is pushing it don't you think?
BOOOBS, if you had looked closely, you would have also noticed that I was doing Kristin Chin(tm pending).
What a night. The event was pretty successful, I feel. I made some new performing friends out of it, stepped up to the plate at the last minute and impressed the people in charge (I was a late replacement for someone who had done one of the shows before and was put into the other show)...and I got to speak at length to a very important, cool person. So that's all good. Now if I can get my paycheck, all will be good.
"and I got to speak at length to a very important, cool person."
That's funny, I was sure I didn't go.
That's terrific Bway -- hope it leads to more work!
We can all say "we knew him when", but until then Nina needs a massage dear boy.
