Ah, I love coming home to open bottles of Champagne
NYadgal - an evening out together would be divine - might I suggest the Rainbow Room for an evening repast, and then the best live Blues club with the biggest dance floor afterwards?
I did leave early to meet Shira, but that's because we were meeting at the Samuel French Bookstore first. She is a wonderfully engaging young lady who is aware, inteligent and open to the living of her life. It was refreshing and hope-inspiring to meet with a young person who had a head on their shoulders and a heart to give it substance. I will look forward to seeing her again when we meet with the others at DORIAN.
And by-the-way, THIS Mr. Grant would have let Sue-Ann catch him

Evening all...cooking as usual. I did say Matt passed right in front of us, as you can tell by that picture.
Undi., I wish I would've known that you were there, I would have looked out for you. It was so overwhelming with those people. People screaming there's so and so and look who it is.

Hello all! Great pictures! By the way was that Toby (Richard Schiff) from The West Wing in the background?

Boobs - evey day a new look. Nice.
DG, Bobby, Undi, KMF - and whoever else I missed...HI! Hope everyone had a nice evening.
DG - glad to hear your get-together was so enjoyable.
Oh, and you have named two of my most favorite ways to spend an evening!
So - can you imagine being a celebrity like Matt Damon and not being able to walk down the street without idiots like me snapping cameras right in your face (I honestly didn't MEAN to - it just sort of happened...I was snapping pictures and there he was!) and having people reach out and grab out. I would hate it!

I hear ya adgal, but I go back to the fact they made a choice -- reminds me of November 2001 -- saw the Producers --- great seats (row D -- dead center) and there were 4 empty ones in the two rows right behind me -- I'm thinking, damn -- hottest ticket in town, blah, blah and during the overture I heard rumbling and Bill and Hillary Clinton sat RIGHT BEHIND ME. At intermission people realized who was there and they were mobbed -- my friend said something like..."Damn, they can't even go to the bathroom" -- but it's a life they chose -- would suck to me....I love being fabulous in obscurity!

You're right - they DO make a choice, and I have never accepted their whining about it.
I just know I would hate it. (So, good thing I'm not famous!)

"This is one of those days that your mom warned you about. Not that it's going to be bad -- but it will most certainly be interesting."
Do you guys remember my Horoscope for today? (I posted it a few pages back...)
Well - it WAS most certainly interesing...
I wasn't going to say anything to you (because I didn't want everyone to know...) But then I remembered that stupid Horoscope and thought I would let you know how the day turned out...
Guess where I DIDN'T go tonight? Right - the auditions.
Guess where I DID go...
The Emergency Room.
I was mugged.
I have stitches in my knee, and will have a black eye for the weekend...the ASSHOLE didn't even get my purse - just a Duane Reade bag with lotion and tampax. (Boobs said he should stick the tampax up his ASS!)
I'm fine. And enjoying my pain medication.
And am off to bed.
See you tomorrow.
And I'm NOT reading my Horoscope!!!

I'm FINE. And I wasn't even going to tell anyone about it until I remembered that Horoscope (don't know WHAT made me remember!)
People were very kind and cops were there - and they took me right to the ER. Just some stitches - and a bunch of scrapes and a nice shiner. (Guess they won't be taking MY picture at the Emmy's!)
Thanks for offering, but I'm ok!

Hate to break into the game, which I will join in a moment, just wanted to say that I'm glad you're ok, Nyad. I realize that a black eye and stitches on the knee is hardly ok but, it could have been worse and thankfully it wasn't.
