DG you have won our love and admiration. Oh even a gurgle from Lizzie!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

mom - the best prize of all!
Bobby - I saw you say something nice about Arizona - orange blossoms are good, aren't they?
And I want to know what NYadgal is saying to all these young men. Every thread I check into has some young buck snortin to get to NY and find her with pink drinks in their hands!

They're all trying to get her drunk and take advantage of her DG.

But we all know that will NEVER happen! I am devoted to my one and only, and I can hold my liquor. (Tipsy is as far I go...)
I think it's the hat...the guys all love my hat
Just got home from an early - and tame - dinner. Want to get a couple of things done, but will be back a little later for a night-cap.

It's just very amusing to watch them all circle like it's mating season.

Amusing is one way of looking at it!
I have no idea WHY - I really do think it's the hat!

Maybe they read about you hanging out your window with your phone in one hand and a drink in the other - wearing a boa, no less

Or, that!

Well, it really is shocking and appalling - this wanton leading of these young, innocent, virtuous youth down a path of vulgarity and perversion - and not have that path lead directly to my front door!

Yes! It's appalling how I'm being mislead. I am being robbed of my youth and innocence!
oh, wait...you meant THEM.
I shall direct them to your door when they circle again. Will you offer them pink drinks?

I will offer them anything that works - and I have a vast and wildly varied wardrobe at my disposal

Yes, DG. I bequeath to you my boa.

I used to be quite handy with a boa - those days gone by of Frankenfurter . . .

How was that, bway?

Actually pretty ok.
The worst part of it is that I'm packing. Anyone bored and want to bring over some boxes? I miss the community of small towns where you didn't have to trudge down to Home Depot to buy boxes, you just went to your grocery store and got them. People look at me like I'm crazy here when I ask that.

And, DG - I think there's a little bit of Frankenfurter in all of us...

ugh. Moving is such a pain. I moved just under two years ago - after having lived in my previous home for 17 years. I think I'll stay here until I retire!
And, you're right about the boxes...why the heck can't we just go get them from the grocery store. I still had lots of milk crates from college - they came in quite handy.
So - no fancy drinks for you tonight, since you're packing?

NY - that's certainly the way HE wanted it
bway - there ARE still places where that exists, thank god!

Whatever happened to Fay Wray?
That delicate satin draped frame
As it clung to her thigh, how I started to cry
Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same...
Give yourself over to absolute pleasure
Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh
Erotic nightmares beyond any measure
And sensual daydreams to treasure forever
Can't you just see it?
Don't dream it - be it.
Ach! We've got to get out of this trap
Before this decadence saps our will
I've got to be strong and try to hang on
Or my mind may well snap
Und my life will be lived for the thrills...
It's beyond me, help me Mommy
God bless Lily St. Cyr...
I think I may have to go put on my CD of Rocky Horror...I haven't listened to it in ages...

I think when I come to NYC, we should all go see it - it must be playing SOMEWHERE!

It's always playing downtown - every Saturday night.
And, that sounds like an excellent plan.
Now - which character will you be?

Ugh, well, I tried Food Emporium. I also tried my workplace but they were...icky. They're not exactly stored in a room I will willingly venture into...but I did. And decided to just buy a few. I also have tones of bags and suitcases and such, so I don't think I'm going to be hurting for room for my crap. :)

I'm afraid I could only be left with the narrator at this point! But back in the day, I wore a MEAN pair of fishnets
