Addie - I am going to carry that to my grave
KMC - thanks for the love
Guido and I have encountered each other before, and I feel comfortable saying that mutual respect is something we're not going to share any time soon. I have full faith that Addie can handle herself (do NOT go there
), so I'll acquiesce to his wishes and let him enjoy himself. I won't, however, be watching, which I know won't bother him one bit.
KMC - thanks for the love

DG - that song is now yours!
Kids, much as I'd like to stay and play, I have to go play hostess at Asia de Cuba. I plan to have a drink in hand within moments of arriving and will say a toast to all of you.
Don't expect it to be a late night, so I'll catch up with you when I get home. If anyone is out playing later tonight, call me on my cell - my arm can be twisted!
Hugs.

DG, it's just that you're the epitome of class here. So having seen that comment was rather uncalled for, in and of itself. Talk about unnecessary comments...

Guido and I have communicated, and have no issues. No need to carry this further in here.
Addie - have as good a time as you can

Addy: Cuz mom wanted my tux to be done by Prince Charming, which would have involved tights and the idea (or the sight) of me in tights is amusing...
But, just for you...
We're men, we're men in tights.
We roam around the forest looking for fights.
We're men, we're men in tights.
We rob from the rich and give to the poor, that's right!
We may look like sissies, but watch what you say or else we'll put out your lights!
We're men, we're men in tights,
Always on guard defending the people's rights.
We're men, MANLY men, we're men in tights.
Yes!
We roam around the forest looking for fights.
We're men, we're men in tights.
We rob from the rich and give to the poor, that's right!
We may look like pansies, but don't get us wrong or else we'll put out your lights.
We're men, we're men in tights
[High Voice] TIGHT Tights
Always on guard defending the people's rights.
When you're in a fix just call for the men in tights!
WE'RE BUTCH!

"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

The icon should certainly make it clear you're not, Undi.
As for Asia de Cuba...visit the upper West side and look for restaurants that advertise comidas chinas y criollas. That's Asia de Cuba, but more of it and without the "scene."
Did you know that the Chinese in Cuba were brought there as slave labor prior to the Cuban Revolution (from Spain, that is, pre-Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders)?

I thought it was more indentured servitude, as the institution of slavery had pretty much died off in the Western Hemisphere by then. But I'm probably just nitpicking on a word.
Don't forget that Chinese labor was also instrumental in building the Panama Canal...
