Thanks for all the good wishes (and the cake!) Be sure to make the "bubbly" ginger ale for me, Addie. The rest of y'all can enjoy the "hard stuff." LOL! (Addie-looking forward to your take on 'Night Mother. That is a tough one to absorb.)
Turning 46 may not suck too much after all. :o)

Happy Halloween all! and a Hippo Birdie to our buddy beacon!
Wow that extra hour of sleep was wonderful. At the moment the fog is lifting so it is looking a little less spooky.
When the kids were small and we would have morning fog, we'd tell them that it was just a friendly dragon that lived in the nearby swamp.... I miss those days.... but we can now start telling Lizzie those stories.

I'm on my second glass of OJ, and enjoying seeing the sun. Yesterday was dreadful in NY...

It was pretty icky here yeaterday as well addy. At the moment the sun is out so hopefully the little whiches, goblins and pumpkins will have nice weather for their candy rounds tonight.

Most of the regular posters in this thread have met in person, and have formed social relationships. Ultimately, it's the place where we come to escape the insanity of the world at large, and that this board can sometimes devolve into.

Posted: 10/31/04 at 2:03pmHappy Halloween everyone! Well, the fog machine is set up in the graveyard, the grim reaper has been hung outside and the creepy music is blaring out the window as I type. I was driving home along this dark, curvy road last night and there's an old fishing pond on one side of the road. It was such a great Halloween scene with the fog rolling over the pond and across the road. Loved it! Hope everyone has a great day and those going to the show have a great time.
I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2. "unleash the girly"

Good morning all--and thanks for the b'day wishes. They really touched my heart! My jaw dropped when I saw that thread. (I've got my bib all tied on and I'm ready for Patrick Wilson's arrival!)
DG, excellent synopsis of the origins and growth of this thread.
We're approaching page 700 going stronger than ever.

For tonight I've got:
a good stash of sinus meds and decongestants to keep me sane...
(I slept alot yesterday and stayed in bed this morning missing church. :o( but it was needed.)
a bag of KitKats ready (we only get a few trick or treaters in this complex
and the "Perestroika" portion of "Angels in America" airs tonight on HBO Signature (starting at 9am ET). This includes the *cough* beach scene *cough*
And...I'll be checking bww from time to time. A nice, quiet entry into now having to check the category/age range box:

Hi Mom and Nina. I just got back from seeing the final performance of "I Am My Own Wife"...can you say..BRILLIANT. The play and Jefferson Mays were AMAZING. It's the BEST play I've ever seen in my life !!! Not for a second was I bored. I'm glad that I didn't miss this performance.
BTW Mom...I got my tickets too for La Cage...yippee !!!
