Oh it's nothing much to tell Cookie -- I just went "off" one night (after a few drinks) about the word avitar, where it came from what it meant and what was wrong with the word icon......the power of pink drinks gets me going sometime...

Sorry Virgil...there's so much that it would be impossible for us to fill you in on.
Most of us live in New York/Jersey..but we do also have CA,DC,MA and IL represented here too.
We try to get together for a couple of drinks, dinner or a show when ever we can. Lots of time it's just coincidence that we have tickets for s show the same night. When someone is coming in from out of town we try to make plans to all get together and meet. As a matter of fact Mom is coming in this weekend and some of us are meeting up with her on Friday night. Most of us have been posting on this thread since the beginning and that's how we got to know each other and become friends.

Virgil, I'll leave it to one of my elders...er...the old timers....er... my older friends to explain this thread better because I'm still relatively new here. My take on it is that this is like a front porch where good friends stop in to say hi and catch up on what's going on with each other...and also to comment on life as it passes by!

Has anyone been to the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot in Orlando? It seems to get bigger and bigger every year. There are all kinds of special events - dinners, wine symposiums, celebrity chefs... scheduled dring a 6 week period in Oct. - mid November. 26 kiosks are set up around the "World Showcase" section of Epcot which offer tasting size food and alcohol selections from around the world. We hit 10 of the booths and I was quite happy by the time I rode the vehicle on the "Test Track" attraction!
