It lets us spend our time with loved ones and many times talk in an honest and frank way that wasn't possible before. I hope the outcome for your dad continues to improve - but know that the time you spend with him now is important to both of you. Treasure these times as much or more as any other time you have spent with him.

Kansas, your words are SO true. My family has been through a lot, and we always come out stronger for it. I'm truly BLESSED!
Yes, beacon, I have quite extensive info on my family history - on both sides. It's a treasure to know.

And, Bboobs I have two brothers who only address me as Mormon (I'm a convert). I haven't heard them say my first name in 26 years...plus my birthday is Hallowe'en. I can handle any nicknames you toss out.

I'm glad you have collected Family History Addy. I'm working furiously on mine.
Next week I'll be doing some more when I see my folks in Myrtle Beach. I interrogate them over pinochele games and the dinner table.

Meh.
You guys don't even begin to scare me. I've faced PMS while serving as a camp counselor over a group of Brownies in 90 degree heat in 90% humidity. And no Midol.
