DG -- the street are filled -- especially if there is decent weather -- heck even when it it not --

I used to work at Macy's and hired all the people who plan and build the floats, balloons, everything about the parade.

DG, I have been to the parade (I even marched in it in High School...in the pouring rain), but I'm not going this year as I'll be spending the holiday in Connecticut. It's alot of fun. As is going to Central Park the night before to watch them blow up the balloons. You and Robert should plan a NY Thanksgiving some year!

Having been in close to 10 parades, it is one of those things you should try to see in person at least once -- the balloons alone are amazing and to watch the kids watch it all go by is something special!

My father used to take us. I don't remember having such a great time then. It was always too cold. I love watching it on tv. Drinking coffee and hanging in my PJs.
