It's new this year. There was an article about it in the Times a week or so ago. Not as large overall as the one that had been there for years, but very pretty when it's illuminated.

Addy: That's the one. I think Dame Edna and Brooke Shields are the "lighters" this year for the Times Square tree... But I have not seen the new snowflake in person as of yet. I read about it in the papers, though. However, I think I have to do a Bloomies run this weekend, so I will be sure to take a gander at it....
