NTG, how do you get a backroundless picture?
And how do you turn a word into a link?
Links, I believe, are (with no spacing, except for between the 'a' and the 'href'):
< a href = " link title " > URL of Website < / a >

Did you do < a href="...."> blah blah < /a>? Except without the spaces before the 'a' and the '/'?

Is Type_A_Tiff here? I like her alot. Have you guys been posting for long? How many messages to you have to add before it says Broadway legend for you?
Not sure where Tiff went. It says the date when a poster joined underneath their status (swing, legend, etc.) You need 1000 posts to become a legend.

6000! I have barely ten. You must like chatting. Are you one of the creators of the site, insomiak?
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/7/04
Oh no! It kind of snuck up on me, really. The mods don't actually post much. I'm just here chatting every night. Sad, I know.

I dont think its sad. I just saw Insomnia creations pop up somewhere on the site, so I thought maybe thats you, especialy cos youve so many posts. Do most people have that many?

Matt- Nope, it's the British one. I want it. Have you read the book or seen the movie?
ah ok! I read the book when I was 12, and had no idea what it was about or what 70% of the words meant. then read it again when I was 15, after seeing the movie. it made more sense then.
the reason I thought it was japanese is because we had a japanese poster in the living room which used the same artwork, when I lived in San Diego.

would you recommend it? I thought it was really unpoplar because of lots of violence and it was banned or something?

It was definetly difficult to start reading, but so worth it. I saw the movie recently and it was different from what I thought it would be like. I expected more graphic violence.
I thought the film was plenty graphic enough. McDowell is just so good in it. Here's a fun fact:
toward the end, the old man (whose wife was raped earlier on) is living with a big burly guy who (I assume) is there for protection and assistance. The big burly guy (Julien, I believe) is the guy inside the Darth Vader suit, the man who stole James Earl Jones' voice.
not sure if and where the film has been banned but it's pretty popular in the States. we only ban racist disney films here.

Really? He was Darth Vader?
Interesting.
And yes, McDowell was very impressive. Alex scared me.

Dont know where I heard that, but I definity thought I heard that the director wanted nobody watching it in case the went mental, and then he banned it himself or something. Or that could be another movei. Sorry!
Hey all!
Popping back in for a bit! Didja miss me? Didja? Didja?
Welcome JasperD! I like you to, because you complimented me, and as we get to know each other better, you get ot compliment me some more. (Does that sound superficial? Shut up.)
I've read most of the Clockwork Orange book, and seen parts of the movie in my Criminology classes. Kinda F*CKed up, but right up my alley. (Natch.) The book was okay, but I read it when I was around your age or younger, Som, and I was like "WTF are droods and why can't they speak proper English??" LOL

Tiff- it is warped and F*CKed up, that's why it's interesting. You should go back and read it again, there's a lot of good moral questions in there. Stuff to think on.
We're actually talking about it and other books on the Adam thread right now... not sure how we got from tattoos to books. Oh well.
Oh man, if I had time to read books, I would have done my college readings by now. *oops* I'm dying to re-read Da Vinci Code and then hit the classics again.
