I HATE HAVING MY PERIOD!!!
It's messy, it's icky, it's dirty, it's bloatedness, it's dehydration and migraines, it's dizziness, did I mention bloatedness? I HATE being a woman! Why can't men have blood dripping from their tinkle toys instead????? And I get in a mighty PISSY MOOD.
And how are you all doing today?

Sympathies, sympathies. Trust me, I sympathize.
*vomits*
Do you know any good remedies for bloating that don't include substance abuse? (Because I've already hit up all of those.)

I have a large bottle of Ibuprofen that you can have if you promise not to hurt me.
I've got blood coming out of my cooter and an affinity for violence. But not to anyone who supplies me with drugs.

*offers Tiff a cookie*
*doesn't even care about Europe at this point because I'm dripping so much blood that Dracula's having a field day lapping it up*
*is grateful that Ellie decided to plug it up--thank you*
Mortrin, Tiff. But eat something first, or you'll be even sicker than you are now. In just a few short, lovely days, I'll be in bed whining about the same thing. *jumps out window*

My hot water bottle is my best friend in the whole world during times like this. Right alongside my comfy bed.
Is hot water better for me than cold water? Cuz I've got a bottle of cold water right now and I'm not feeling too great. (Does anyone else notice it's ALWAYS the first day that's the worst?)
Emcee, UGH, you're right. It was kinda disgusting--I was feeling so stressed this morning that I smoked on a bloated empty stomach, and...yeah...ugh.
hot water - both to drink and a hot water bottle next to your stomach helps
::is completely disgusted::
While we're sort of on the subject, will someone please explain to my friend kirsten that she could not possibly become pregnant by taking a bath right after her twin brother...
Feel better tiff

For me, the first day is the only day I feel sick. I usually take a couple Advil even before I start to feel it, and then get out the hot water bottle, and I'm fine for the rest of the time!
Yeah. Don't drink anything cold - lots of tea. I usually get pretty sick, but a few months ago I literally could not move for a week. I called my mother in hysterics and finally got up to go buy painkillers, tea, and a heating pad. I was a mess.

Oy. I'm sooooooo glad I dance for like three hours or so a day... I haven't had to deal with this yet. Feel better!
Dancing? Huh? Does that help?? (ponders career as ballerina)
OBOG--So if a set of twins had a baby, would the baby look identical to one of them? Ask your friend Kirsten to let me know after she gets knocked up with her bro's kid, and shows up on Jerry Springer.
*note to self, get hot water bottle*
Coffee probably wouldn't help though, right? It would just dehydrate me more?
Because of so much physical, strenuous activity, athletes/dancers often get it really late, Tiff. I wish I'd been a really hardcore athlete sometimes...
Coffee might not work. Drink something mild.
If you work out regularly and stuff, you period should be a breeze. Mine usually only lasts 4 days, and I never have cramps. It actually doesn't bother me at all.

Gentle excercise helps. And of course a HOT water bottle! Hellooo? Cold water? Is this your first crimson wave?
Silly girl. And ugh the first day is so bad. So bad.
I used to work out a lot (cardio mostly) and it still killed me when I had my period. I actually felt worse because I think I was more dehydrated. But I will consider becoming the next Flo Jo if it means I never have to deal with this! (BTW, I complain like this every month, so I'm sorry in advance. Sometimes I get kind of hypochondriac-al and I think I'm dying. And I consider cutting out my uterus.)

I usually end up missing school the first day of my period. One time, I didn't start getting cramps until after school. I was there decorating for the prom, and I ended up curled up on the floor in the hallway, almost passed out, until a teacher saw me and got my friend to drive me home. NOT a happy afternoon.
I've been trying to go for a walk when it starts. I find that it does work a little.
