**laughs despite herself**
Just got back from my stupid yearbook meeting. The cast of the school musical (Bye Bye Birdie) sucks. The leads can't act and the males can't sing and they're all so damn conceited! And at yearbook, I didn't get an assignment and I have no friends there, so it was all a waste of time!
oooh you evil temptress!
that sucks MFL..

Another time, precious Guido, another time...the mood seems to have been broken. Awww, what's wrong, Irish?
Guido - call me. xoxoxo
and what is the problem Irish??
Missed a button there Ellie dear..
Aww whats wrong Irish?
And that sucks MyFairLady. Sorry that happened. The people in the musical will get their dose of reality eventually, and hopefully someone will realize what a mistake they made by not gicing you an assignment. Until then, hang in there
kick something irish...that always helps.
no, you call me Ellie..we'll talk.

I am probably going to have to take a year off between high school and college ... and USC (where I REALLLY) want to go doesn't defer, so even if I get in this year I will have to Re-apply for next year...and this won't be a fun traveling year. It will be an unhappy medically annoying one.
The reason why is not fun and is why I am angsty and crap right now...
My jaw disintigrated. Not in a HUGE way, until I say something nobody has any clue, so it's not like my face is disfigured or something (which I am SO GLAD didn't happen)...
The part of my lower jaw that fits into the upper jaw (the condyl, the part that moves whenever you open or close your jaw) is what disintigrated, so now my jaw is tilted ever so such that only two of my teeth comfortably touch (back right side).
This causes a LOT of stress in my face etc, so I am constantly getting headaches and my face and jaw always hurts. And, the only physical sign of this whole thing, is that my front teeth cannot touch. There is a definite gap whenever I try (which makes eating interesting sometimes...like a sandwich and lettuce, ooh thats not fun).
I just had a phone call with my orthodontist (who is in charge of the whole fixing procedure) and he said the surgery to fix this (where they will carve my jaw up, ugh) is probably going to be in September instead of during the early summer as he had said. And after my surgery, I will have so many rubber bands in my mouth (on my braces...3rd f*cking set...ARGH) that my jaw will essentially be wired shut for 6-8 weeks. And I will be on a liquid diet. The entire time. And I will have so much swelling and bruising in my face that it will 'looked like i was mugged.' Quote from my doctor.
Fu*$%^&!@#$%^&*&.
And I will have to wear braces for another 6 months after the surgery as well. And I do NOT want to go to college with braces (they make me look REALLY young).
So for the past year, and for next year apparently as well, my life is ruled by this goddamned jaw problem. And I just finished all my damn college apps, only to find this out.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Can i just say how attractive i think girls in braces are?
it's definitely a thing of mine. *shrugs*
OneSongGlory-Thanks! I didn't actually audition this year because of conflicting events, but the director who's directign the show is evil and insulting me in front of the whole cadt of this year and last year's shows.

Loudie, that's HORRIBLE. I'm so sorry. What kind of liquid, should I even ask?
Guid, I had braces for four years, seven months and five days. I must be smokin' hot.

"What kind of liquid, should I even ask?"
I haven't even thought about that yet. Probably some horribly bad tasting protein shakes stuff and diet drinks. *shudder*

Aww, that is bad, Irish. At least you won't put on any weight, and you'll get lots of attention!

Heh, yah...the dietary side of a liquid diet is the 1 plus side of the entire ordeal.
awww, i'm sorry irish. i wish i could do something for you.
Oh, Irish, I'm so sorry That's terrible! But just think, when it's all over, you won't have headaches and pain anymore! I hope that's some consolation.
Yea just think when its all over you will have a gorgeous smile, be able to eat comfortably, won't be in any more pain, and possibly have lost a few pounds... I know its a lot more complicated than that, but try to focus on the good stuff.
And, since typing doesn't involve any movement of the mouth, we're here to listen to any future angsting
Aww I'm sorry Irish, although my apology does you no good.. why does he want to do it in september insetead of over the summer?
Guids that is very sweet of you!

It turns out that my jaw is tilted in both the x and y direction (it's hard to explain in words, I usuallly do a hand motion), so its tilted so the back is higher and the front lower (y direction) and we just found out that it is also tilted a little to the left (so right side is higher, left is lower, x-direction).
That apparently complicates things, hence the later surgery date.
*hugs guido and gives him a kiss on the cheek* Thanks! That is really sweet of you!

Good point, Glory. We're always here to listen if you need to talk, Loudie. Will you need a new screen name? QuietIrishGirl?
*angst that is nothing compared to what other people on the thread are going through but I feel like posting anyway*
Tomorrow I have to let my coach know that I'm dropping track for the duration of 'Hair', because I will need all the sleep/energy I can get to pull off school and performances. He's going to kill me, because I'm on varsity, and theres a meet in a few weeks (he might not even let me back on varsity once its over) Plus, my dad is like really into whatever sports I'm actually into, and when he finds out I'm taking a break so I can go perform in a musical, he will flip. Then I have to explain to some of my teachers that I won't be in their class for the next 2 weeks, which they totally won't understandand, and start getting my make-up work. Then comes my first actual rehearsals involving the blocking/dancing for the numbers. ::is nervous::
sorry didn't mean to kill the thread...
