haha thanks.
ok my day was fine...well...until this happened.
I'll give you a brief backround.
I auditioned for 42nd Street at a small theatre on the island. I got a callback for Peggy and I thought that it went really well.
ok. so then today we were supposed to get a call from the director by 3pm if you got into the show. So basically I was a nervous wreck all day. It's now 3:30 and I didn't get a call. I'm really really upset. I know that it's not the end of the world. I mean i've faced a lot of rejection before, but everytime it happens..it just...it feels like someone's stabbing me in the heart. I know that i'll be fine, but this was really the one show and the one role that i thought i could really REALLY nail and do a great job with. I'm not so upset that I didn't get Peggy, but I'm upset that i didn't at least get into the show. I mean...i don't mean to sound conceaded (i'm not that way at all) I guess i'm just so overwhelmed, upset, hurt, god there are just so many emotions running thorough my body right now.
I'm sorry, hun That's too bad!
Awww! Have some hot chocolate! **passes mug around**

Poor you. *hugs*
Hey everyone
Eek sorry auditions didn't go so well shbrt and ponine better luck next time... you'll get your chance eventually
just popped in to say that opening night of Hair yesterday was a success, and I had a blast. Being so thoroughly engulfed in a musical I love for 2 1/2 hours is a lot of fun I've never performed for an audience even relatively NEAR this size-- their feedback kept the energy high, and seeing the masses of people at the curtain call was slightly overwhelming, but amazing nonetheless. I wish I had something to compare the general performance to, but I've never seen it before so I don't know if anything was changed or whatnot. Anyways, thats all for now, catch up with you later
Edit: oops. DIdn't read the page before this until after i posted. Sorry to bump the thread... i won't anymore

Glad to hear it, Glory! I auditioned for that show in the fall, but they decided to cancel it. I was sad.
Question: Was there nakedness?
Broadway Legend Joined: 10/4/03
get out of the gutter!!!!
haha. jk.

I'm not in the gutter! It's a reasonable question! When I auditioned, I didn't really know the show, and they didn't even ask about it... there's NO way I would ever do that, but I wonder if they would have done it in the show.
Hey!

*looks innocent* I'm curious...
You know, I heard there was going to be nudity in the Actor's Fund version... 'course it wasn't who anybody wanted to see...

Did I scare Glory off with my question?
Guys, I just had to have a um... funeral for my fishy.
I'm sorry! I just had one for my Dwarf African Frog. His name was Poseidon, and his friend Titan will always miss him. Sigh.
