Okay, guys, I need help. My voice teacher was approached by a casting lady to submit students to audition for a new reality show for R&B/pop singers. He suggested that I try out, but I told him I wasn't comfortable doing it and I didn't think I was ready. I'm not a pop singer. So apparently he told her about me anyway, and she called to ask me to audition on Friday. So I call back and ask her what the requirements are, and it's three songs, two with backing tracks and one a cappella. First of all, I don't have anything prepared and wouldn't know what to sing, and second of all, I'm still not comfortable with this. What should I do??

PS. My advice is, if you're not comfortable, and I can understand why you wouldn't be, then don't go for it. Honestly, there are so many of those talent reality shows that it may not help your career much - if anything, it may hinder it and give you notoriety. So hold out. But that's just my 2c. Now get yer ass offline! (I say this cuz I luv ya.)

Well if it was me, I'd stay away from reality shows. I mean it's a quick start to fame but it can also destory your privacy. If your not comfortable, go with that gut feeling, because it could be bad news for you.
