You got attacked by a stingray??
Ooh, good one, BwayDiva - add JCS to my list.

Yes. It's hell, especially when you're allergic to it.
Wait, this is the angst thread. Damn Chris Columbus!
If he was willing to cut out Norbert the dragon's part in HP, imagine what he'd do to, like, Maureen and Joanne's storyline!
Angst. ANGST!
Sorry. I need to vent.

Tiff, I hated that they did that, but you have to remember how long Harry Potter is. They had to chop it down to fit it into a movie- Rent's not too long so nothing should be cut for time.

How long is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince going to be?
Twice the size of the last one, probably.
Probably the length of Webster's Dictionary.
I hope.
I still haven't gotten around to reading the fifth book.
You're right, Ak, but the show's still 2.5 hours long and I don't know if Columbus is comfortable with that.

That's with intermission. And LOTR was ten million hours long, so Rent should be fine with 2+.
Delphie, I command you to read Order of the Phoenix.
Delph, seriously?? It's my favorite one! (After Azkaban.)
Eh, I've been commanded to read it so many times now. It's on my list, though. At the very distant bottom. *shame*
I did love the Azkaban one, though!

What are you reading now?

I need a book, too. Any advice? I've kinda grown out of the teen section of the library and I'm ready to venture further into the adult books.
Just finished Lord of the Flies and am now on How I Paid For College...
Then I want to read Rebecca, Nicholas Nickleby, Much Ado About Nothing, Year of Wonders, all the books following I Know Why the Caged Birds Sings, Notre Dame de Paris, etc (there are quite a few more) ..... the list goes on and on. And then there's Harry Potter, which I do believe I have grown out of.
As for more adult books, I dunno, lemme think...
Insomniak, have you read The Hot Zone by Richard Preston? FABULOUS book. LOVE IT.
Ohh, look at Miss Delphine and her Du Maurier. A bit of light reading? *let me wipe off the sarcasm*
Ak - READ THE DA VINCI CODE!! A real page turner.
I got 50 pages into DaVinci and never went any father. It was so cheesy! I'll never forget the line: "He was Harrison Ford in Harris Tweed". Ha! And c'mon, an albino bandit?! Puh-leaze!
I didn't like the method of storytelling, but I love art history so the theories were really compelling.

Read all the Dan Brown books. Very good thrillers.
Have either of you read The Lovely Bones?
By Alice Sebold? Not yet but it's on my list of things to do.
Is ?+Monsters really better than the Da Vinci Code?

It's hard to find books that interest me. I love reading, but I'm too picky for my own good. Sometimes I can't get past the first page. I do love trashy chick-lit though! Anyone heard of Marian Keyes?

The Gossip Girl books are the best teen chicklit ever.
What is ?+Monsters?
Heard yes, but not of anything she's done.

She wrote Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married, Sushi for Beginners,
Rachel's Holiday...they're the three I've read anyway and they're great! I'd recommend them, read them if you can!
Can I join the book club?
