no, my dad is a stereotypical asian nazi who wonders why i'm not studying hard in a "professional" faculty at college and acting as his subservient daughter. instead of telling relatives i'm a B.A., he tells them I'm "pre-law".
thank god this is an angst thread.

Yes, Tiff, feel better.
And goodnight all. I'm really going to bed this time. Really. I will discuss Les Mis another day. FAREWELL!

ugh I can't stand Allam singing anything. he's an amazing actor but he's the reason I never listen to the Les Mis OLC or the City of Angels OLC. and for Enjolras, it's tricky. when it comes to singers, Warlow is IMHO the best in musical theatre anytime in the past 15 years. but I think there are several Enjolras' who are just better at the role than he is. Michael Maguire is one, as is Stephen Buntrock. I generally picture Maguire as the visual and voice, with Warlow filling in the high notes.
I'm an original Quastie so no ? there. And Marius will always be Peter Lockyer for me. I like Ball in the historical context but seeing him sing Marius these days is ridiculous.
Eponine = Ruffelle visually with ANYBODY else's voice!! Meredith Braun is one of my faves. Kerry Butler was fine too.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 2:12amWell, ladies and gents......I am now off to sleep where I will dream of Catherine Zeta Jones, a blanket, and the sweet sound of Anthony Warlow's singing from beyond yonder hill. Goodnight, my friend. Adieu!

Okay, I said I wouldn't post again but MICAHEL MAGUIRE?!?!?!?! HELLL NOO!!! He's my least favorite Enjolras ever. EVER. I cannot stand his voice. He can't hit the high notes. He's ugly. UGLY, I SAY, UGLY! I don't like his portrayal of the character. He's just too wimpy to play Enjolras. The only part of his performance (from what I've seen) is his The ABC Cafe. Other than that- ick.
I really like the OLC Enj, David Burt (Burt? Burk?). His voice is good and his acting is spot-on. I also like Martin Berger (Germany) and Anthony Warlow vocally.
Marius is Peter Lockyer's looks and Scott Hunt's voice/acting.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 9:33amGood morning everyone. I live right across from a polling station, so they are people mobbing around it, and there will be for the rest of the day. they woke me up this morning. Sigh.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 11:39amI would if I could. And it would be for Kerry. But I'm 16. I like to think happy thoughts and say I'll be able to relect him four years from now.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 11:54amGood attitude. To be honest, I'm feeling nervous about the outcome today. I'm just hoping that a few thousand undecideds will be standing at the polling booths, ponder for a minute, and realize that 4 more years of this is just not the way to go.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 12:11pmI envy you. I loved living overseas. Actually, when i came back to the US I ws surprised on everyone's confidence that the entire world loved America. I was stunned. We are not beloved throughout the world like some would like us to believe, and that was 5 years ago. I can't even imagine the hostility now.

I LOVE CAKE! I got a called an Anti Semite in a JEWISH SCHOOL today for supporting Kerry. My sister was called a baby killer.
I hate people who make decisions based on their parents. I asked one guy why he wanted Bush to win. He said that because Kerry was bad for doctors and his dad is a doctor. I asked him about all the people who Bush left jobless. He said and I quote "Who cares about them? Only doctors matter to me."

Posted: 11/2/04 at 6:14pmGRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Kerry all the way! I don't completly get it though. Is voting for Bush better for Jews? NO! At least Kerry understands there's a little thing called seperation of church and state.
#2023I'm in love...and his name is Doogie
Posted: 11/2/04 at 6:16pmNo. It's jsut that a bunch of Republican rabbis and psycho journalists say that Kerry is pro-Arab which is NOT true. I hate psycho Republicans. If I could vote, I would vote for Kerry.

Posted: 11/2/04 at 6:19pmSame with me. He is NOT pro-Arab in the way they mean. He just recognizes the fact that not all Arabs are terrorists.
