Caring for LPs

A hobby of mine is collecting old OBCs on Vinyl from thrift stores. I was wondering if anyone knew of a web site that sold extra paper sleeves and/or cardboard jackets. Some of their little homes are in not so nice condition, and I'd like to replace them. Thanks!

Plastic sleeves were sold at Tower Records. They might still be available.

i have some resealable plastic sleeves that keep my records in good shape, away from harmful airborne pollutants. i think mine are from www.sleevetown.com, which carries a lot of different types of audio protection at a resonable price. glad to know someone else shares my record collecting hobby!

and how do you guys recommend cleaning lps? I use alcohol and a baby washcloth(washable not disposable)

water always cleaned vinyl lps very well for me.

GRL, I still scour old lp bins, when i come across them, for show recordings i might not already own. the habit never fades away completely.

chita- i have this thing called "discwasher brand record care system". i think it's from restoration hardware. it's basicly this little thing that looks like a chalk board eraser and a little thing of serum. it works quite nicely. do you guys know any cool places in ny/brooklyn that sell vinyl, other than half price books? i'm moving in a couple of weeks so i'd be cool to know off the bat where i should check out.

I used to use Discwasher frequently...till I learned it was simply water in the little bottle.

The eraser was helpful though.
