People are so misguided and simply make up facts. If you saw the episode, LD did NOT urinate on Jesus at all. That wasn't the intent of the comedy, and only in the twisted mind of those who believe all non-believers will be rotting in hell could the case even be made.
Still, some of the self-righteous comments are pretty funny...

I am catholic & a big Curb/Larry fan.
I saw no problem with the sketch in question. The whole episode was a rip as have all of this years efforts so far.

Posted: 10/28/09 at 5:49pmI saw the episode and it was hilarious. The Catholic Church is always crying about something. They are always the victim.I will be very disappointed if Larry David breaks down and apologizes.

Many groups "cry" about something or other
While much of what they say has merit, this ain't one of them. I will say if someone had done that to a picture of Mohammed, watch out. Talk about guys with no sense of humor.

"'David's best years are behind him,' Donohue said, adding 'he ought to quit while he's ahead.'"
Couldn't the same thing be said about the Catholic Church?

Posted: 10/28/09 at 8:56pmI think the bigger problem with someone doing that to a picture of Mohammed is that you aren't supposed to have a picture of Mohammed in the first place.

Donohue noted that while he believes 'Seinfeld' (created by David) was "brilliant," the same can't be said about 'Curb.'
"David's best years are behind him" Donohue said, adding "he ought to quit while he's ahead."
The Catholic Church's best years are behind them.
And for what it's worth, I think Curb is every bit as brilliant as Seinfeld.

William Donahue is not "the Catholic Church," he's William Donahue of a crazy right wing Catholic media watchdog group that's just a GLAAD equivalent from the other side of the continuum (that uses many of the same strategic tactics).
He thinks all representations of "The Holy Family," "Jesus" or "The Crucifixion" are inherently Catholic and anything he perceives as an affront to those representations as "anti-Catholic."
I have to say Michael Moore's movie "Capitalism: A Love Story" starkly reminded me of the work of Dorothy Day and the Catholic Workers movement with its commitment to social justice. I was completely unprepared for three priests to be among "the good guys" in that movie. It was an important reminder to me that loudmouths like William Donahue speak for nobody but themselves.

first of all for me .... of all the places to hang a picture of our saviour .... why over the bowl in the bathroom.... as soon as I saw that it turned me off ..... that show is getting
weird... maybe a star of David over the bowl along with the picture of Jesus would shut everyone up ??????

Remember the Seinfeld episode when Kramer (accidentally) set fire tothe Puerto Rican flag, then stomped on it (in order to extinguish the fire)?
Puerto Rican groups protested, and the episode was pulled from reruns and syndication for a few years.
