Please note the subversive placement of the elephant and the peace sign.
Hard to believe, but Play-Doh, (that IS the correct spelling for those who care about things like spelling) is celebrating its 50th birthday this year in a whole host of ways. Most interesting/scary is the perfume!
For the first time that fresh-out-of the can, eau-de-PLAY-DOH scent is available for fun, highly-creative people who seek a whimsical scent reminiscent of their childhood.
As part of our year-long celebration of the beloved modeling compound's 50th birthday, PLAY-DOH compound's distinctive aroma will be available in a limited-edition 1-ounce spray bottle. Retailers such as Perpetual Kid and Demeter will carry the Play-Doh fragrance for an approximate retail price of $19.

Posted: 10/19/06 at 5:20pmthat's no "heil" look at the hand. it's a fist. and what color is his shirt? that's right, my friends, red. i think we can see where this is going.

Wait--does the fist and the red shirt mean he's a communist or a handballing top?
I always get confused by the color codes.

Posted: 10/19/06 at 6:39pmAre you sure that was Play-Doh brand, and not the home made kind with flour and salt and food coloring?

LOVE(ED) Play Doh! Mixing the colors was always a taboo thing. Mom swore she'd never buy it for us again. (Could have something to do with making brown dog turds and hiding them in her kitchen, though).
Thank for the memories, Mr. Namo!

PB ENT has just proven the adage that playing with Play Doh has negative affects on the brain cells.
Sad. Terribly sad.

No, jackass! We had the real stuff. My mom was too lazy to make it.
Just to be sure I looked on the website. It's mostly salt, too:
The exact ingredients of PLAY-DOH compound are proprietary, so we cannot share them with you. We can tell you that it is primarily a mixture of water, salt and flour. It does NOT contain peanuts, peanut oil, or any milk byproducts. It DOES contain wheat.
PLAY-DOH compound is non-toxic, non-irritating & non-allergenic except as noted: Children who are allergic to wheat gluten may have an allergic reaction to this product.
The kids I work with now can't use it. I think I am going to go buy some.

Yeah, definitely the real stuff.
I used to eat it...I think it often replaced lunch.
