robbie, I was so enthralled by her infomercials! They were so amusing that the first time I woke up to one, I thought it was a SNL skit.
uh..I dont kid about Nana.
She'll be here next week!!!

I thought Nana Mouskouri was an Andrea Martin character.
actually, Benny Hill did a killer Nana.
There's a great clip on youtube of Charlotte Church and Amy Winehouse singing Michael Jackson's "Beat It."
It's really hysterical...Church is trying to keep it together, and Amy just screams off-pitch and runs around like a mess. It's a must see.
For the longest time I wanted to start a celtic woman WTF thread, and I'm so happy to see that I'm not alone in my opinion of them.
The thing that gets me about groups like Celtic Woman, is how PBS goes and films some group that you've never heard of and plays the video over here and tells us that they are "the international sensation!" and dumb schmucks over here believe it...
Sondheimboy2, I totally agree. I remember the first time I saw them, my initial reaction was, "what is this crap!"
There was also some insipid male singer who sang a solo, and I was like, please, who told this guy he could sing.
Way to go, PBS, that will really get me to donate.
okay...while perusing youtube after seeing that a-hle sing Beat It with Charlotte Church (who knew she had a chat show?)
I came across Angela Lansbury singing "Thoroughly Modern Millie" and "Everything's Coming Up Roses", so thanks!!
Doodle, I shudder that you wrote Angela's name in the same post as Charlotte Church in a Celtic woman thread!!
It's wrong, I know...but see what can happen? It was a miracle, my bad youtube experience into a lovely one...though I didnt understand the tony performance. I assume it was the intro that year.
that said, why is that not on my Tony compilation dvd?

I've seen Celtic Woman stuff around, but I've never heard it. Is it really that bad?
