Census sheds light on income gap

I guess it makes sense that the immediate focus on the census results is the impact it could have on the Congress and future elections. However, it also illuminates the stark, growing gap between the rich and poor in this country. It also makes you wonder how so many people can vote against their own interest, and sweep into power a party whose stated agenda is diametrically opposed to their welfare. What will it take for someone to pull back the curtain on the Fox/GOP propaganda machine in a way that people in this country will pay attention?
