"Characters in Musicals" on JEOPARDY

Lets see if you can question these answers that were featured on JEOPARDY today:

Mary Martin, Sandy Duncan, and Cathy Rigby have all starred in this male title role on Broadway.

(Forgot answer, question was FIDDLER ON THE ROOF)

It's an "ABBA"-dabba Honeymoon as Sophie is engaged to be married in this Broadway musical.

Jill Haworth, Alyson Reed, and Natasha Richardson have all took on this role in Broadway's CABARET.

Sutton Foster took home a Tony, starring as a flapper in this Broadway musical, based off of the original movie.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I know a few of them...the rest I shall guess.

1. Peter Pan
2. Mamma Mia!
3. Sally Bowles?
4. Thoroughly Modern Millie

Yup - all too easy.

But now 36-time champ Ken didn't know Thoroughly Modern Millie. Some woman guessed "What is Victor/Victoria?"

That last question about TTM was the only part I saw. I actually laughed out loud at them, then everyone told me to shush.

Understudies, darling. Not Understudys. Sorry, but you knew that was coming. I still love you.

And about being only Understudies, I was pathetic and lurked around here for months before joining. *shame*

I love you too. I knew how to spell that, but my fingers were too lazy to change it. Blast my hands!

I remember when they took down the Broadway.com message boards, and then BroadwayWorld.com was launched. Everyone there just shifted to this Site.

Ahhh, the olden days.

I usually am, too. And I'm sorry, CapnHook, but I am far too young to remember the olden days.

That's why i hate it, the whole loading thing. I have about as much patience as a gerbil....I'm assuming they have very little patience.

But how many did Ken Jennings get right?
"SUNY Binghamton, yes. I'm sure getting a degree from SUNY Binghamton is very useful. Normally to get a degree with that kind of credibility you'd have to study in Guatemala or Haiti."
