Do you cry tears, I mean wet face, when you watch this movie?
I do!

Posted: 10/2/04 at 9:28pmThe only reason I'd consider watching it is for Alan Ruck. Is it any good?

Posted: 10/2/04 at 9:28pmNow are we talking about the Hilary Duff version?

Posted: 10/2/04 at 9:30pmI actually enjoyed the remake. You can't go wrong with Bonnie Hunt.

The Steve Martin version was fairly good. But the
Myrna Loy/ Clifton Webb version is a classic that I will always love.

Posted: 10/2/04 at 10:23pmThe book is definitely on my top 5 list. So the original movie rates pretty high (I'm anal about movies reflecting the book). And the remake...yeah, I don't want to get started on that.

One of the reasons why I re-rented the movie to see him...

Steve Martin is one of the funniest actors of all time.
Cheaper by The Dozen...probably not his best film - I haven't seen it.
But the man is a legend.

Posted: 10/3/04 at 12:24amMy mom dated Steve Martin. Yup, that's my one 'interesting fact' in my life. He flew her over San Fransisco, and they ate at a fancy resturaunt and he stuck his face in his spaghetti. He asked for a second date and my mom said no--this was a few years before he hit is 'big'.

Posted: 10/3/04 at 12:48pmI liked the re-make too! It's a fun movie. Hilary Duff is hardly in it so it's ok! However I do want to see her new movie Raise Your Voice!

Posted: 10/3/04 at 1:20pmIDK what I'll think if her new movie, Raise Your Voice. I think it'll just be another version of Britney Spear's video (can't remember the name). The "Poor me, I suck but hey! Look, now i'm better!" sorta thing. *blech* I don't really care for pop stars in movies, when they are just movies about them...seeing as they develop their career in the spot light. I just don't see the point of re-making it into a movie. That's just me though.
