Mamie- that was hysterical! My daughter and I were just watching a "discussion" of this cover on the Larry King show. My daughter said, what does it matter what she looks like? She should want people to take her seriously because of what she can do- not what she looks like. Even Bay Buchannan thought the picture was good. It's that right wing young brunette girl who is making all the fuss- sorry- can't remember her name!

I stopped at Borders tonight just to see "it." First of all, there's some sort of over-flap on the cover that makes seeing who's on the front of the magazine very difficult. Then, I had to hold the damned thing really close to even see the notorious facial hair. So, if Fox had just ignored this story and stuck with their usual balanced, unbiased and serious news coverage, Sarah's moustachioed visage would not be international news!

Somehow this seems fitting for the woman who paraded her extremely pregnant teen-aged daughter before the Republican National Convention, which was broadcast globally. Perhaps now, Ma Palin has an inkling how embarrassing it might be for someone -- let alone a high school kid -- to share such a personal and intimate event with the entire world.

But I doubt it.

ETIR, Fox is a network of racist and whiners. Only an idiot would defend them over this. Obama's smelly air plane, Palin's moustache, and a debunked terrorist connection is all they got left on Obama. Why am I not surprised that you are having a hissy fit and defending the mother hens of Fox.

FYI Palin looks gorgeous. Policitcs aside, she is a very beautiful woman.

Eh, I don't get all this "very beautiful" stuff. It's not as offensive as the time Bill Maher tried to convince us Ann Coulter was a hottie, but come on. She's not a bad looking woman, handsome even, but she's nothing extraordinary in the looks department. It's fitting, though, since her schtick is how unextraordinary she is.

Thanks Phyllis. No, it was the childish McCain/Palin supporters who are Mavericks one day and Whining babies the next who decided to make this a story. Of course, it all could have been avoided if Sarah would have just waxed that hair lip of hers!
