Posted: 2/7/04 at 9:58pmPhantom Tollbooth, The Westing Game, A Fish For Mrs. Gardenia, Eloise, the Clue books.... there was another book I read a lot but I can't remember what it's called. It's about a little girl whose sister gets married on her birthday and the girl feels stuck in the shadows. Reminds me of my mother's third marriage where she got married two days after my seventh birthday, come to think of it.

my all time favorite is elephie pelephi: the cat with the high i.q.
they're not particularly children's books, but i started reading them in 2nd grade and credit them with most of the health that i have spritually: the don camillo books by giovanni guareschi.

Well as a real litte kid (like still in dipers and a crib) my favorite book was "The Little Engen That Could" it was the fist thing I ever memorized. I would make my parents read it to me every night and when they thoughtI was a sleep they would skip a page and I would say "No thats not how it goes!"
Other books from when I was really litte where
Susen and Gordon Adopt a Baby
The Giving Tree
Grover Goes to School, the Little christmas Elf,Ordainary Amos and the Amazing Fish,A Fish For Mrs. Gardenia,Olson's Meat Pies
then when I got a little oled I got into all the Wayside school storys, Baby sitters club, Ramona's storys, and How To Eat Fride Worms, The Chocolate Touch, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
and now I read Horry Potter

Posted: 2/9/04 at 11:41amI'm completely serious about my selections, by the way. "Everybody Poops" and "The Gas We Pass". If every child fully understood that they are just like every other child we wouldn't have half the societal problems that we do.
