Oh the irony.
I actually just checked this out of the library yesterday.
When I was a junior, a Mormon girl (and her mother) had Snow Falling on Cedars pulled from the AP Lit reading list at my school. Then an excerpt showed up on the AP test the next spring, so the teachers put it back on the list.

Mekroth, you are on the money. I read this book in high school and I do recall a quote from Revelation at the end of Fahrenheit 451:
"on either side of the river there was the tree of life with twelve manner of fruit, yielding its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of nations "
but then, what do I know, I'm just a fornicator
"and their lot shall be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone..."
I guess I'm hot stuff...
