o0o yay! thanks rath!!
i actually like this version the best. we had it on vhs (taped from tv) when i was growing up, and it recently came out on dvd, so of course i had to buy it. i love in my own little corner. i like this version better than the one with brandy too, but then again, i usually like the older versions better then the newer remakes. they just paid more attention to details in the older ones.
I so loved this version.
Love this version. Ginger Rogers is the Queen, Pat Carrol is a stepsister.

And Walter Pidgeon is the King.
I love that movie! my cousins, who are 7 and 11, recently spent the night at my house and we watched it.
Wow, I forgot that Flo Zigfield is the King. Sorry Flo!
I LOVE GINGER ROGERS.
I LOVE Lesley Ann Warren in almost anything:

She is sooooo under-rated and so multi-talented, and not bad on the eyes either. She's amazing.

Not that it's a big deal, but she was also one of the very few funny guest stars on Will and Grace (as his dad's mistress.)
Okay, so the TV listings lied. Sorry guys.
Lol...it is the one with Bernadette Peters and Brandy. But it's worth it for Bernadette I guess.
What's up with those stepsisters???
I know I was soooo bummed! Maybe the Hallmark channel will air it someday.

mom - it's available through Amazon.
Also, according to Amazon.com the Julie Andrews' CINDERELLA will be released on DVD this fall.
I saw it many years ago and remember it being quite different from the Leslie Ann version.
Alice Ghostly and Kay Ballard are the sisters.
Edie Adams in the Fairy Godmother.
Thanks DG as a little girl I would go around the house singing
" In my own little corner, in my own little chair.."
Funny thing is I really had a little rocking chair that ny father had made and it was tucked away in a corner of the piano room. (A small room off the livingroom )
I met Lesley (Ann) Warren once in Los Angeles and my knees actually buckled.
I've met other, more famous people in my life but she's the only one who did that to me.

Funny, but I understand that completely. I've heard she's difficult, but, God, she is so talented.
She'll always be Miss Scarlett to me.
"Ten minutes ago I met you...."
You are referring to a sacred time in my childhood....
I should have never opened this thread... its giving me horrible flashbacks.
Cinderella is what made me quit acting for two years... actually, i havent acted since, but now i am at least not completely opposed to the idea.
Horrible experiences...and the movie and lyrics makes me recall them.
