Everything is geared for 13-20 year olds nowadays. Movies have to have a music video feel in order to be considered hip.Why did they HAVE to remake it? Looks nothing like the Harryhausen version.Yet another CGI remake for those to lazy to watch the original (which is usually superior)Thank you but I'll pass!

Posted: 11/11/09 at 8:45amAs much as I love the original, and I do... I'll be the first to admit it's pretty lousy. As impressive as Harryhausen's effects were (and they were), the story took a backseat to letting him show off his abilities. Granted, that looks to be about the same here, and even if so... I dunno, I'd consider seeing this.

The original is great camptastic fun. Lord Larry, Maggie and Ursula are just too funny to watch, and Burgess is . . . well, one of those 'need to see to believe' moments. And then there's Harry in a loincloth!
This looks . . . like nothing.

It's the same thing almost exactly (from what I hear) as the original but with better f/x.
If you can't bring something new to the table, why bother?
As someone who loves popcorn flicks, this doesn't even interest me.

I'd rather see a feature film of Project Runway where the contestants have to design coordinated separates using two different Scottish plaids.
