They're much better casting principals on that show than secondary characters, it seems.
Speaking of, going back a couple of days, I missed what Dr. I-Want-Alan's-Job said to upset Monica. What happened there?

Posted: 4/27/07 at 11:37amI just remember a fight between Noah and Dr. Crapactor. Noah is upset that the doctor wants to institute policies that turn away poor patients, saying it's their responsibility as healers to treat everyone regardless of their ability to pay. Crapactor says the hospital is a business. Monica came in at the end of the convo--don't remember what she said.

I told you that you'd warm up to Spinelli. Branford is one of the most talented actors on the show and I hope they let him showcase his musical theater talents more often.
By the way, this Amelia recast is only temporary and the original will be back in about two weeks. She's off shooting a pilot. I'm relieved, because I like the actress.
Also, about Jerry Jax/Craig: he was friends with Robin when he was on the show before. In fact, he's actually rescued her before. This new twist is a re-write of history and makes no sense. Jerry would never shoot Robin.

Jax was with Jerry very recently, remember. It seems he would know this face.
Effie, I couldn't disagree more with your statements. I still find Spinelli's portrayer to be as annoying as the character itself, and I don't like either Amelia, but this second one is the lesser of two evils. Unless the first one gets her hair fixed while she's gone.
Jerry has obviously snapped - he never used to be a terrorist. He wouldn't care about Robin now just because they were friendly in the past.

The character has not obviously snapped- he is being portrayed as an intelligent, charming sociopath which is a complete re-write of history. The writers love to do this often, unfortunately.
Also, I think the writers need to decide who Alexis is. It's out of character for her to disrespect Jax's wedding rehearsal by coughing and blurting out her opinions in front of everyone. Her character is logical and would privately present Jax with the facts about why it is idiotic to marry the unstable Carly.

The writers screw up a lot (especially in regard to the classic characters and their histories--don't get me started!) Fortunately, Nancy is talented and engaging enough to spin sh-t into gold.

Effie, for some reason the writers think Jason, Carly and Sonny walk on water and should be the focus of every show! I know there's a need for young characters (Sam, Liz, Maxie, Lulu. etc.) but they could totally incorporate the classic characters into the storyline and put them to excellent use! Now would be a perfect time, for example, for Robin to call, oh, let's say HER PARENTS--for help. They're only world-class spies and masterminds, right? Who better to help foil Craig than Anna and Robert?!
Tristan Rogers was on the show for three seconds or so during Laura's return and they didn't even have him exchange one word with Genie Francis. I still haven't recovered.

Great line today by Jerry to Lady Jane:

Alexis has let her passion get the best of her more than once, it's not out of character at all.
Will Jerry have to take his own mother hostage now?

You watched already? Excellent!
I had a couple issues with the wedding. Well, other than the fact that it actually happened. Why on earth, did Alexis have to announce the arrival of the bride and groom? And Bobbi the first dance. Every wedding I've ever been to, the band/DJ did that. Speaking of which. Where the hell was the band? You've got a multi-millionaire sparing no expense for his wedding, and no live music?

Yeah, the "best man" gives the toast, he/she doesn't introduce the bride and groom. Stupid.
Bobbi looks HORRIBLE. I can't focus on anything she does or says.

That was one of the most unappealing sex scenes I've ever seen on a soap. I hate Amelia and I don't need to see Sonny's B cups ever again.
I'm trying to decide whether Jerry is hooked on the adrenaline of possibly getting caught or if he's the stupidest criminal ever. Lurking all of ten feet away from his hostages? Not even an attempt at a disguise? Not even sunglasses?
I keep waiting for him to run into "Three"...er, Coop.

Posted: 5/1/07 at 12:54amI'm enjoying the actor, though. And I want him to develop an obsession for Alexis! I like that she's involved in this storyline. It gives her something to do besides fight with Ric and worry about her children.

Posted: 5/1/07 at 9:22amJackie Z really needs to let that breathless, ingénue way of speaking go already. Should have a long time ago. That wide-eyed way she has gets on my last nerve.

Posted: 5/1/07 at 10:24amNo, please don't give Bobbie a storyline, for the reasons Girly just gave. Plus, I can't stand to look at her anymore. And why why WHY does she insist on saying "awl" for "all"? They seem to give her that word every time she has lines too, probably on purpose.
