Smarmy and slightly unattractive?
"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

So, Justice, you don't like us making comments about Scott, then you turn around and call Clay "Smarmy and unattractive"?

And YES, I would lump you into the catagory of people who have an anger issue if you throw phones at people.

Violence twords another human being is wrong PERIOD, unless it's in self defense.

re: Clearing Scott's name - Beating a Dead Horse

Smarmy and unattractive is a little more tame than calling someone a ham with teeth, or a huge angry baby, let alone someone with Down Syndrome. Now, if I were to say Clay Aiken looked like a geeky faggot, then you could label me a hypocrite.

As for the violent rap, Are you saying that you've never thrown something at someone before?

NO, I've never thrown anything at anyone, except insults. I don't have to do that.

And name calling is just that, name calling.

I'm just glad I don't have to look at Scott or hear him screw up another song again.

In other words, Justice can be insulting to people she/he doesn't like and we can't.

Ain't hypocrisy grand?

If you're going to demand others take the high road, it helps if you're making your demands FROM the high road.

And, NO, I haven't thrown anything at someone since I was about, oh, seven years old when my parents taught me it's bad to throw things at people.

Unless they're crowding the plate, of course, then it's perfectly OK to send them a little chin music.

BACK UP

Despite what looks Clay Aiken may have lacked in, that certainly didn't stop American from loving him, and future American Idol wannabes from getting inspired.

Please point out one person who has been inspired by Scott

American Idol reject, and with good reason

I'll be Goddamned if I can understand how anyone can rise to the defense of that no talent, inbred, backwoods hillbilly. He should have never made it past the auditions, let alone into the finals.

throwing anything at someone is inappropriate behavior....ANYTHING. Way too many people on this planet have anger management issues and will not admit it.

First of all, ("I'll be Goddamned if I can understand how anyone can rise to the defense of that no talent, inbred, backwoods hillbilly. He should have never made it past the auditions, let alone into the finals")
Well he did, and apparently that became a problem to many people. Such a problem that people are letting it effect their stress levels.

Second,
"In other words, Justice can be insulting to people she/he doesn't like and we can't.
Ain't hypocrisy grand?"

Let me reqoute myself, and see if you understand it the second time:

"Smarmy and unattractive is a little more tame than calling someone a ham with teeth, or a huge angry baby, let alone someone with Down Syndrome. Now, if I were to say Clay Aiken looked like a geeky faggot, then you could label me a hypocrite."

Its sort of scary to think about how many people actually voted for him

re: Clearing Scott's name - Beating a Dead Horse

As I said before Justice, name-calling is name calling PERIOD. It doesn't matter that you think one is worse than the other. It's all the same. I can't believe that you actually think that your name-calling is appropriate while you criticize others for doing the same thing.

Correct me if I'm wrong..but smarmy and slightly unattractive is not "name calling"

Domestic violence and violance against women should not be taken lightly or so easily dismissed. To do so sends an unfortunate message.

re: Clearing Scott's name - Beating a Dead Horse

Justice - Scott first turned me off by how he acted during the audition process, especially, how he reacted to the other 2 guys in his group. He came off like an arrogant a-hole, and then he sounded even worse in most of the interview clips.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: Clearing Scott's name - Beating a Dead Horse

'Smarmy and unattractive' is no less derogatory and personally insulting than the things being said about Scott. If you want to labor the differences between being insulting and name calling you'll have to go find someone with a lot more free-time than I have to debate the point.

You're doing what you're criticizing others of doing. And you know it.

Pot. Kettle. Justice.

You'll all be good friends.
