I like Juila too, but I'm pissed that she won for Erin Cuntovitch. All the artists on the GSS make me hard.

re: Closer- the play

Just to bring this back on topic, Boobs I gotta disagree with you about Natasha Richardson. I saw the first preview of Closer on Broadway (it was my birthday and Rupert Graves was in it, serendipity, I'm telling you) and I thought she was terrible. Having seen Frances Barber several times in London in the same role, Ms Richardson fell very short of my expectations. I have seen her on stage since and been very impressed and I can't wait for Streetcar, but she disappointed me in Closer.

Sorry to hear that Pop...the difference is that you had someone to compare her to, I didn't. I'm sure when the movie comes out you'll be comparing Julia Roberts to Frances Barber too. I only saw Natasha in the role and totally was in awe of her performance.

It also depends on when you saw it. I am sure she got better as the run progressed (though she left VERY early and was replaced by Polly Draper) but she was very unsure of herself at that first preview.
