Does anyone know how to shorten long audio files, and create a new file that is a few minutes of the longer file? Make sense? Basically I have a 65 minute file and I want to create files of select parts of the big file, but have no idea how to do it.

Thanks in advance.

There are some inexpensive programs you can buy that make this a pretty easy task.

I use MAGIX Audio cleaner which also allows you to make track marks and clean up the audio. It's runs about $20 at most electronic stores.

I am sure there are free versions of things out there as well.

Thanks, Elphie! Happy halloween. (It seems our great minds crossed again in the "How do you do it thread" - we said essentially the same thing at the same time. Scary.)

I think this is a sign that Norbert should star in the stage version of "Nightmare Before Christmas".

I'm holding out hope that he does High Fidelity, but Nightmare could be awesome as well. :)
