Well that blew. Too much sobbing.
And what was up with spending so much time with Santana? I like her character but it was all about her.

That would be because Santana was the closest one to him- next to Lea.
They did date for quite a while and he was the only one to understand her.
Also- the episode was about tough people with hard exteriors breaking down after a loss.
Santana, Puck, Coach, Shue, Sue Sylvester.
it made all the sense in the world.

Then they should have had Lauren show up because she was the most bad ass of them all.

Sorry to piss on your snark party but - in all sincerity - I thought it was an episode filled with real and raw emotion.
A young man died. People who loved him celebrated his life.
I haven't watched GLEE for a while, but I tuned in tonight. I'm glad I did.
RIP, Cory.
I enjoyed Leah singing AIATYING from her hoo-ha

There was too much missed opportunity. It could have been a really moving show but all they did was fake cry and fight over his jacket.
It actually started out decently. And right up until the scene with Kurt wanting the jacket it was on the right path. But it's a month after he died and there's still a memorial in the hallway blocking people's lockers to commemorate a student that didn't even attend the school anymore plus the OBC Glee club is still at the high school (WHY?) doing...WHAT? Singing? Freaking the F UCK out and even assaulting faculty?
Death sucks. It does. I'm done with funerals this year. But this show (even though the song selection was pretty damn decent for a change) REALLY missed the mark in trying to help young people learn to deal with loss. I just kept wondering when Lydia Deetz was going to show up and read selections from her journal while the glee club carved Finn's initials into their skin.
^ Yeah, and now we have the interview with Ryan Murphy who says they are going to keep mentioning Finn's name in the future. Why? I know other shows have done that a couple of times, but only a couple of times. And it was in context to what was going on. I get death is hard and I know people grieve in different ways, but sometimes it gets ridiculous. Like at my high school some people pretended they were close to someone who died, just so they could get attention. Those people make me sick. Sounds like it was partially that way on Glee. At least what people did for a former student. It's kind of weird.
I stopped watching Glee a few seasons ago but I tuned in for this episode. I'm sorry if I sound horrible but I lost interest half way through and turned it to a rerun of Parks and Rec.
