I don't see what the problem is. It's a comedic role...and he is a comedic actor...seems like a fine fit for him.

Yes. I don't know why, but I love Jack Black. He was wonderful in School of Rock, and he was the only reason I didn't kill myself after seeing the King Kong remake.

I can't take Jack Black seriously in anything. That's both his appeal and his downfall.

I never understood the appeal, in fact my favorite Jack Black role was when he was target practice in THE JACKAL.

Except it's rated R so my mom won't take me unless I turn 17 soon.

I walked out of "Holiday," not all because of Jack Black though I do not enjoy him kissing anyone. It's hard to watch Cameron Diaz pretend to be stupid time and time again.

I don't like Jack Black at all. It's not his acting that annoys me. It's the way he acts when he's not supposed to be acting. He tries way too hard to be on all the time. It really turned me off to him forever. And the fact that Kate winslet fell for him in Holiday made me slightly ill.

Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

i love jack black i think hes hilarious, i think its a harder road for any comedic actor that ever wants to be taken seriously as an actor, it looks like his role will be comedic and dramatic and i think he can pull it off, but the only way to know for sure is to wait and see :)
