There are some zingers here.

My favorite Coulter line:
“Doesn’t the middle name ‘Hussein’ in a Democrat reinforce the impression of the Democrats being soft on Islamic terrorism?”

And Maher won the night with this beaut:
“Who put two wars on a credit card?” Maher asked. “There is this debt because George Bush spent money like a pimp with a week to live.”

Does Coulter really think that having the middle name Danforth was the easiest thing about Quayle to mock?

No kidding! He was like a precursor to Palin. Here are my fave Quayle quotes:

"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child."

"It's time for the human race to enter the solar system."

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure."

"A low voter turnout is an indication of fewer people going to the polls."

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any vice president, and that one word is 'to be prepared.'"

BTW: I like this Maher zinger about Limbaugh:

"I think it’s interesting that he is now the undisputed leader of the Republican Party. It shows how clueless they are. They went looking for the future and they found radio.”

Quayle is no longer in office. Let's look at some of Biden's gems:

(to a paralyzed man in a wheelchair) "Stand up Chuck"

"During the '29 stock market crash, FDR got on tv..."

"What's the website number for the recovery?"

"You have to have a slight Indian accent to walk into Dunkin Donuts"

How about some Bushisms Goth? Anyone who defends Ann Coulter is a pathetic joke!

Seriously, is that all you got? You have to go after things the VP has said? They aren't even nearly as dumb as Dan Quayle or Bush. Talk about desperate to win an argument! LOL!

I was really hoping no one would show up for this Sham Fest. Now THAT would have been a fun read. Imagine the hurt egos of both Maher and Coulter.

I've heard Coulter and Maher are actually friends. I remember in Hartford when Al Franken and Ann Coulter debated years ago I was so disappointed when I heard they both were huge Dead heads and friends as well. The fighting is all an act!

Didn't they date at some point? I know he's partially responsible for propagating the myth that she's "hot."

Professional wrestling. All off it. See hot mic comments by Peggy Noonan. Or the Ron Perlman character in Last Supper.

Al Franken and Coulter are not friends. He had some choice words to describe her after their debate.
Mahr and Coulter did date and are friends. With Coulter it is all performance art. Anything to sell her books. That is why I was hoping their debate at Radio City would sell as well as Joe the Plumber's book.

These "debates" are ENTERTAINMENT. Two actors playing their roles - why wouldn't they be friends?

I hate these touring debates. Like the bad theater of the touring Timothy Leary vs G. Gordon Liddy show of years gone by.
