Country, or Southern Style/Theme Musicals

Finally saw "Violet" at a local production here in SF and I really enjoyed the song "On My Way". I tried to rack my brain out to enumerate other musicals of a similar style... And the only one I can think of is "Bright Star".. Which I also enjoyed immensely. I can add Scottsboro boys, Paradise Square... And maybe The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" but I missed its run in SF and hoping to see another company do them again.

What other southern contemporary style do you adore?

Could be an unrealized, unintended, misplacement. I just clicked on Broadway and got dropped here. I was wondering why a discussion of Beto O'Rourke's "hotness" was suddenly a Broadway theme.
