This was just too amusing not to post...
STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Metallica may be a cool name for a heavy metal band, but a Swedish couple is struggling to convince officials it is also suitable for a baby girl.
Michael and Karolina Tomaro are locked in a court battle with Swedish authorities, which rejected their application to name their six-month-old child after the legendary rock band.

Let's not forget Female and Pilot Inspektor.
But in any case, it is their right to name their kid whatever they want to. I think Metallica is actually a kind of pretty name, if you look at it the right way. It is their kid, after all. If she gets older and doesn't like it, just change it.

Metallica kinda pales next to Suri or Apple. It is kinda euphonous.

Very weird choice of a name. But it's their right to name their child whatever they want.

Well, in Sweden, they don't. Or Italy. Or Israel. There are many countries where the government has the right to reject proposed names. You can call the kid whatever you want, but that's not the name that will be on their legal records.
