Working kind of like Google Goggles in that it translates real-time images into readable information, Word Lens is a free download but language packs cost $5 as an in-app purchase. So far, it only has Spanish-to-English (and English-to-Spanish), but it will certainly help a person abroad (or even in their own country).

Posted: 12/17/10 at 2:43pmI refuse to acknowledge this as the future until it looks like the 2015 depicted in Back to the Future II. Where are my hover boards and flying cars? Where are the thumbprint scanners that eliminate my need to carry keys and cash? I want that future!

Posted: 12/18/10 at 4:07pmNah, so far only Spanish and English are involved, but dang, this would help me out. lol The other day I was shopping for a Christmas gift for my teacher and this little shop had some cute things, but the prices were more than I wanted to put in. I didn't get anything there. Had I been able to read fluent Swedish, I would have known that the big, very wordy sign said the store was closing and everything was 50% off. Sigh. lol
