I wrote Criterion an email about two months ago BEGGING them to release Le Amiche. I'm so thrilled to see they are finally releasing it!!!! This is amazing!!!!
If you haven't seen the film it's 100% worth purchasing. I first saw it at an Italian movie festival at Lincoln Center and fell in love. It deserves a place in the collection and happy to see it finally show up.

I'll pick up DR. STRANGELOVE, LE AMICHE, LA CHIENNE at the B&N sale in July -- not feeling a particular rush to get them.
I just wish they'd hurry up and release CHIMES AT MIDNIGHT already.

The last time Criterion had a 50% flash sale I picked up a bunch of titles (near 20!) at fantastic prices. I used to go for the B&N sales, but they are so expensive as is that the 50% off barely gets them down to the normal amazon price.

The last release of STRANGELOVE was pretty great, if I'm remembering correctly. I wonder what else they could add to it..

Strangelove is actually not in print anymore on BD. So even if they don't add a lot it's still good to have it available.
I'm stoked for Mr. Jordan.
I wish they (not necessarily criterion, but someone) would put out Warren Beatty's remake, Heaven Can Wait.

Oh, cool, I've been waiting to see La Chienne for years.
And Clouds of Sils Maria is my favorite movie from last year, so that's cool.

I'm just ridiculously excited about Only Angels Have Wings coming to the collection in April. Favorite movie of all time.
