Curt Schilling endorses John McCain, condemns Roger Clemens

Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling called on Roger Clemens to give up the four Cy Young Awards he's won since 1997 if he can't clear his name from allegations that he used steroids to prolong and enhance his career.
"Give it up, Roger!"

I agree with the anti-Clemens sentiment, but Schilling is such a media WHORE. God.

He's a really prolific writer, which I appreciate. That's not something you see much in your typical professional jock circles. I don't often agree with his politics, but I find him a pleasure to read. I also appreciate that he really doesn't have any qualms about approving the LEAST flattering photos of himself, big gut hanging out as he pitches. He may be full of himself, but he ain't conceited!

Wasn't he the jackass who made a big deal when some of his fellow Red Sox players (Johnny Damon and I don't remember who else) went on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy," having to make sure every knew that he opposed the "homosexual lifestyle"? And then also complained when the Queer Eye guys got to through out the first pitch? (and some of those wonderful Boston fans booed them when they took to the field)?

I never heard that. I did hear that Mike Timlin was goaded by some right wing sports radio morons into saying something brilliant about gays "not living right" over the Queer Eye stuff.

I looked it up. Schilling just said that he wouldn't be watching the show when his teammates were on it because he's a Christian.

He reminds me of those people in the hideous, gaudy western wear at the 2000 GOP convention who made a big show about praying while Jim Kolbe talked about international trade. Because it's a sin for fags to do Christians' hair or talk to them about tariffs.
