I have no spreadsheets to check, as I posted just the last fifteen or so votes they have listed on the washington post site.
The key for me though was a quick look at his website, which has his issue positions and a majority of those posted have seem more in line with the liberal.

yep, they are, 'guin. i was just looking at rough numbers for a comparison to the 90% number that was thrown around about lieberman.

Very fair assessment papa.
It would seem that 70% with the Republicans is a good number, but as with the 90% with Dems for Leiberman, I would think a fair amount of those have to be those "We support the right of all people to own a flag" type of votes.

I wouldn't know and since I'm not an investigative journalist, I'm not going to go separate all of his votes.
However, now that you guys are discussing Chafee's stances on most issues, he sounds like he is indeed a Republican out of family loyalty, in the same way many people in the south are Democrats out of tradition moreso than agreement with policy.

Laura Bush campaigned for Chaffey.
Thank goodness he won. The senate should remain Republican. Chaffey was the only Republican who could win in this Blue state.
It's interesting to note all the support for this candidate endorsed by the National Republican Party.
Also, Chaffey is the Bush candidate in that state.
Rhode Island is the bluest state in the nation. They should be able to elect a true lib.

Whitehorse is by no means out of this election.
He can win, and is still the preference of many.
So Chanticleer are you expressing your support for the "cut and runner" of the Republicans?
You wrote this in another thread:
"It’s all politics to the liberals; they must do anything to win this November."
It seems by your statements of support for Chaffey here, as the one who can help your party win in November, that it is also all politics to the Republicans.

I did not express personal support for Chaffey.
While the libs cheered for Chaffey, they condemmed any republican for Lieberman. It is the same situation.

We can assume he's going to inform you that he didn't grant Chafee (as the teacher who doesn't care about spelling DIDN'T spell it) the highly coveted endorsement of his already-discredited blahhhhhhg.
