Good heavens! Has Michelle Dockery always been that skinny?

I hope this is the season they kill off Elizabeth McGovern. Her acting is the weakest link in that ensemble.
If I were one of the ensemble, I would be pissed that Shirley MacLaine got her face in the foreground next to Maggie Smith.
I am shocked and amazed at the obviously brand new, exciting direction they've gone with this season!
Sue Johnston is to join the cast this season as maid to the Dowager Duchess. Sue is known for playing feisty women on TV here and If they play her to that type she will provide some sparks in her scenes with Maggie Smith.

I wouldn't complain if they dropped Shirley Maclaine. She seems to have no sense of the era she is playing in.

I would drop all of the American actors because they don't know how to create an interesting character. Shirley MacLaine, Elizabeth McGovern, Jeremy Piven (wrong show but what bad acting). And I was disappointed in Paul Giamatti as well, but I'll give him a break because he really didn't have much to work with.
But American actors need to learn how to create an interesting character!

The photo looks like it was organized by height--in a much more interesting way than "height" photos are usually taken. Also, it looks like the people in the foreground are simply the best-known stars--Hugh Bonneville is top-billed anyhow, Maggie Smith and then Shirley MacLaine would be logical placements near him, in terms of truly worldwide recognition. Also, perhaps as Americans, we noticed her first because she's most recognizable to *us*. But released in Europe, others' eyes may draw to more "local" stars, if you will.
That said, Michelle Dockery might have cause to get made about the positioning in the photo. But whatever, Shirley is better known than she is. I like Shirley the show--she's there to be a little injection of sass, but they smartly don't, and can't, really use her too much or it would be...too much.
My guess is that Fellowes will have set series 5 in 1926 so that he can write the General Strike into it, which was feared amongst the establishment of the time to be the British equivalent of the Russian Revolution.
SPOILER ALERT
Although it turned out to be... just... a... strike.
